Ambronay, Cultural Ambassador of the European Union !
The Ambronay European Baroque Academy has become a Cultural Ambassador of the European Union following a call for candidates.
Founded in 1993, the European Baroque Academy is a training and professional insertion project for young artists. 2010 saw the addition of its final component, the Young Ensembles Residencies.
Awarded for a period of three years, this financial support will allow the Ambronay Cultural Encounter Centre to develop its activities in support of young talent, as well as to establish international partnerships. The latter will increase the geographical area from which Academy participants can be recruited, as well as offering greater opportunities to disseminate their work.
The title recognises the Europe-wide reach of the work of the Cultural Encounter Centre, and is an opportunity to further develop our work in intercultural exchange and learning.
We are proud to receive this honour and thank all those who have supported us in this work.
